I’ve never known wizards of the coast to place out a terrible book. Im looking very forwards to recieving my box set. Their game and informational system are outstanding! Sometimes it takes a small creative tweaking on the DM’s side to get rules to all work in harmony but i’ve heard there have been massive rule updates and a wind storm of changes.
Dont forget the Artwork. Wizards of the coast’s books permanently have the most incredible displays. The creativity and stunning beauty of their pictures are fantastic; specialy the Monster Manual, the plain images just bring your imagination to life as you can see every detail of your monster.
Dont pass up, it should be fantastic!

do you remember when they redid star wars and made it she square book? Have you noticed how many more books they have made for star wars? I rembmer reading star wars and adage to myself “at least D&D isn’t like this”
Well that’s mud in my eye.
Beyond some of the smaller things like elves are no longer the elves we knew(they no longer have +2 int they are the basic wood elves), I have a basic problem with the new mechanics of the game.
Skills have been nerfed there’s now a whopping 17 skills! your cross class skills go up at 1/2 your level, your class skills you get to add 5 to that number. Int doesn’t add skills anymore even.
The thought of being able to pull different spells from different books and make up a unique character is a thing of the past. There’s a very limited nhumber of spells that you can take per level. But they did add ritual magic that consists of more or less then fifteen pages with pictures.
And I can’t even return the books =(

my friend mat bought all three 4.0 books for about $80. i called him a fool. i had pre ordered this gift set for all three books way back in mid march. now i see that its not gonna be in stock to july, f- that. i agreed up for lost my pre order, ordered the books sepperately and clicked 2 day shipping. so for about an additional 30 dollars i will finally get my damn books. 3 stars for the game being awesome, not 5 because of amazon.

I’d preordered this nearly a month ago and they delayed me until July 14, of all the stupidity. So, I’ve gone with another seller – Comics-Now – but had to pay for shipping. Overall, I’m really mad with Amazon over this. How could they accept preorders and then not have enough to ship to everyone, while meantime stores have them on their shelves just fine? Amazon, you fail.
