This book has 1065 pages. It weighs 3 lbs 11.5 oz. The list fee is $44.99. On the front take in, it says, “The book that should have been in the box.” On the back take in, it says, “Answers establish here!” Inside, the leader tells you where to go for help (on line), but there is NO distress-shooting section in the book! You are really on your own to get help if anything goes incorrect (and it will). I BOUGHT this book because I regularly have difficulty finding help on line: if I had wanted to go on line for help, I would NOT have bought this book!
Unconscionable.

Perfectly nice huge book. About 1100 pages. Much too huge to curl up with at night. The last 2 huge books like this that I bought split in a few places along the spine. I expect this will be no different. So this time I took the initiative and slit it into three nice even managable 350+ pahe volumes. 3 strips of duct tape will keep the new endpages on.
I haven’t spent much time with this tome yet, but it seems well written, and COMPREHENSIVE. If Adobe had chosen to include any intelligible docs with the Dreamweaver software I wouldn’t have bought it at all.

Very intricate way to jump into dreamweaver, the book is heavy the pictures are light, and the Adobe “Classroom Series” is much better.
It is not a excellent introductory book.

The manual seems comprehensive and is written simply and clearly. Since I use it as a reference, it would be helpful to have a much more detailed pointer. I am effective on a site made with Expression Web. It would be helpful to have some information about how the two programs differ in their treatment of Templates, etc.

The Missing Manual:Dreamweaver CS4 is a must have reference guide. The tutorials are brilliant and lead one through the creation of the topic areas. The only problem is one needs a prop to hold the book when reading. It is heavy!
