FOR USE IN SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES ONLY. A collection of four tales of eccentric, commonplace and surprising terror.Amazon.com Review
Different Seasons (1982) is a collection of four novellas, markedly different in tone and theme, each on the theme of a journey. The first is a rich, satisfying, nonhorrific tale about an innocent man who carefully nurtures hope and devises a wily scheme to escape from prison. The second concerns a boy who discards his innocence by inviting an ancient man to travel with him into a reawakening of long-buried evil. In the third tale, a writer looks back on the trek he took with three friends on the brink of adolescence to find another boy’s corpse. The trip becomes a character-rich rite of passage from youth to maturity.
These first three novellas have been made into well-received movies: “Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption” into Frank Darabont’s 1994 The Shawshank Redemption (available as a screenplay, a DVD film, and an audiocassette), “Apt Pupil” into Bryan Singer’s 1998 film Apt Pupil (also unrestricted in 1998 on audiocassette), and “The Body” into Rob Reiner’s Stand by Me (1986).
The final tale, “Breathing Lessons,” is a horror yarn told by a doctor, about a uncomplaining whose indomitable spirit keeps her baby alive under extraordinary circumstances. It’s the tightest, most polished tale in the collection. –Fiona Webster

“The Body”is a novel, written by Stephen King and it deals with four boys who strike out to find a dead body in the forest.
In the last holiday before high-school four boys get to know that there is a dead body in the forest. They want to find thebe body and become heros and so they strike out to find it.
In my oppinion, the leader did a excellent job with this book and in some situations I can reflect myself into it.

The book, A Diffrent Season, is a really exciting book with a excellent balance of like and baseball. It is about a girl who wants to play baseball, and how the baseball star and a girl that wants to join the team start a relation ship. It is also about how they get through the season with all of the changes of a girl playing on a boy’s baseball team. As you can imagine thier are many diffrent conflicts that go along with a girl playing on the boys team. Also her new, friend the star pitcher of the team, is against her playing on the boys team. He also doesn’t reflect that a girl can make it in boy’s baseball. Read this book and find out how they overcome their diffrences and become lovers. This is a excellent book and I really advise you to read it if you delight in a compelling romantic baseball tale. I give it two thumbs up.

In your editorial review of the Stephen King oeuvre, you mistakenly call “Breathing Method” (by King, I presume), “Breathing Lessons”, which is a novel by Ann Tyler.

It is written in a slowly and tedious language, which is not the predictable used by S.K.
I do not recommend it. I did not even end it.
