Past life regressions are fascinating to consider, but have you ever wondered what happens between lives? In Destiny of Souls hypnotherapist Michael Newton questions dozens of his own patients to clarify their lives from the moment of death right up until reincarnation into this world. Newton described this journey in his first book, Journey of Souls, and now takes us back for a second trip that is described in infinitely more detail. Of therapeutic interest is how spirits contact the living to help loved ones they’ve left behind deal with their grief. Newton assures readers that they will reconnect with persons who have gone before them, even their pets. He answers the full range of questions one could ever reflect to question about life after death: How can a soul be in heaven and reincarnate at the same time? How are new souls made? How are souls who’ve done evil on planet punished? These and many additional questions are answered with surprising congruity between respondents.

How is it people cannot see through this pseudomystical nonsense? Readers cannot see they are paying to be told what they want to hear? The same kind of pretentious making of mystery out of what we all know, but many of us rumor has it that cannot bear to acknowledge (that death is the end of life) as ‘Between Words and Silence’, another whimsical warren of wish-fulfilment. Avoid both books at all costs.

More tosh from the ‘let’s kill all the trees’ industry. Rainforests are felled, just so that pompous poseurs can fool wannabee spirits with pretentious reams of rubbish. It’s lies; lacking your body, you do not exist. When you die, you stop to exist; sorry, but that’s life (and death). Nobody has ever seen a soul lacking a body; it’s impossible, just like time travel, psychokinesis, the paranormal, etc. So don’t waste your time and your one and only life on this garbage; go and look after your neighbour, join your union, fight exploitation; stop sitting on your butt feeling sorry for yourself and superior to others.

The fact that he doesnt judge in Twin Flames makes me doubt the entire book. EVERYONE has a twin flame. I have been studying “New Age” topics for years and most of this doesnt even seem legitimate. Anyone could just make up these interviews. He doesnt even talk about the vital things that really matter, like ascension, the activation of dormant DNA, the lightbody, etc. But that’s just me and my opinion. But if you’re new to anything like this, you’d be wowed, amazed and inspired. To everyone else more advanced and on their way to ascension and learning about the Merkaba, it wont really help ya at all.

After reading this book and a series of new age books, I ongoing to have Out of Body Experience (OBE) and then I have strong spiritual contact. I felt I was contacted by two spirits, one inside my body and one outside my body. They said they are my spiritual guides and said I am the MOST severely hurt soul in the planet. They also said I had killed terribly many people in my past three lives. I am a young soul having only four lives including this life. They said they will force me back to reincarnate to suffer from mulitiplied victums in a number of my future lives (50 to 100 lives!) But I insisted to go to a place of remodelling as described by this book, breaking up my energy and diluted giving up my spirit ID (page 103). But they say I can’t as my privileged self does not permit me to do so. Is it right that my spirit self don’t have the freedom not to come back to reincarnate? Anyone please help me! What can I do? I don’t wanna come back! Leader please help me! My email take up is (mfchiu2003@yahoo.com.hk).

I bought this book after suffering a fantastic personal loss last year – perhaps I was drawn to the pinkish take in (lost of grief-support books adopt this color scheme….), or a recommendation from a name at a support website I visited in the early days after my loss.
But honestly, and with as open a mind as I judge I could/can muster, I have seldom come across more pfoofy, New Agey and ultimately bankrupt past-life fantasy indulgences as what I read here.
It sounded a small like neo-Druidism with some sci-fi film influence and post 70’s self-help dogma (lots of “spiritual growth” stuff).
I have no doubt some grieving people will find this book of some comfort, as they allow themselves to become convinced their departed loved ones are at Camp Afterlife and get called in to see the “elders” when they fail to perform their “soul lessons” on time, but honestly….I establish this stuff to be warmed-over New Age navel staring and utterly devoid of genuine substantive study, referential integrity or credibility.
Did it help me deal with my loss? No. Although it may well help a name, I suppose.
I’ve been told Newton’s first book is “better” – with all due respect, I’ll place that recommendation untested.
