Now Briggs starts an extraordinary new series set in Mercy Thompson’s world—but with rules of its own.
INTRODUCING THE ALPHA AND OMEGA NOVELS…
Anna never knew werewolves existed until the night she survived a violent attack…and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack, she’d learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. But Anna is that rarest kind of werewolf: an Omega. And one of the most powerful werewolves in the country will admit her value as a pack member—and as his mate.

I’m so disappointed in this book by Patricia Briggs! It was dull and nearly like her heart wasn’t in it when she wrote it. I like her Mercy Thompson books and look forwards to every new one she writes, but this book on Anna and Charles was dull! All I got out of it was that Anna was beaten down by the last pack and that Charles was injured and was hurting from his wounds. That about sums it up besides them finally getting mated. I wish I would have read the reviews first before I bought the book, though some of them rave about this book which puzzles me. I hope Patricia is done with these two wolves and gets going on what seems to be a fantastic new Mercy book.

I have read the books in the Mercy Thompson series and persons are much better.
The fleeting tale the preceeded this book was also much better. Plenty of action and excellent tale. In this book the leader spends too much time on how unsure of each additional Charles and Anna are. The plot isn’t that appealing either.

I loved the additional books in the world made by Briggs. But, this one too me was dull and redundant. Far too much time was spent on apprehension Anna and Charles had toward each additional. It got so ancient and I just sat there thinking “I get it…you are unsure of how each additional feel, go on with the actual tale please!”. So much time was spent on them sorting each additional out the actual meat of the book which to me should have been the rogue shifter they finished up looking for just couldnt make up for all the wasted time. I would have liked more backstory on the witch and her tie. How she got to where she was her motives etc than was agreed.

This book reminded me a Danille Steel novel with a dash of fantasy thrown in it. The victimized “Omega” was hard to tell to or know. She doesn’t really shine till the end of the book when it’s really too late. The “Beowolf” tale should have been explored, it would have made the novel a richer tale.
I have loved Patrica Briggs additional novels, lets hope “Weep Wolf” was just a bump in the road.

Didnt find this book overly fantastic or overly terrible. Have read a lot of similar books and this one just didnt do it for me, i could take it or place it. But i still liked it enough to end it at least.
