The content of this book is remarkable and extremely useful. The binding was place in backwards…so the last 30 pages or so keep falling out. This is a nightmare. But persons photos keep me coming back!!

Michler’s Crazy Quilting, the Perfect Guide, offers a nice overview of crazy quilt techniques. Reasonably a bit of the book is dedicated to the finishing stitches which was to some extent disappointing to me – I wanted just the crazy quilting techniques. I turn to Judith Montano’s Elegant Stitches for stitchwork. That said, having both books will give you a perfect library for this form of quilting. By the way – I like spiral-bound hard-back books!

I didn’t expect so much information on crazy quilting, from learning how to make silk rosebuds to nearly every embroidery stitch there is. It is for persons who want to take time to make a treasure that will last for lifetimes. Incredibly creative and gorgeous illustrations.

I am teaching myself crazy quilting and needed a basic book including embroidery stitches. This book fills my needs and lots more. The pictures are gorgeous, the directions are clear and the pictures of the stitches are reasonably useful.
This is the Victorian type crazy quilt that uses satin and lace, with added beads and additional items. It is an simple form of quilting that goes together really quickly, using tiny pieces of fabric. The fun is in the stitching, if you delight in embroidery. It’s really fun.

This is a must for any Crazy Quilting Library. I really like the stitch ‘plates’ that show combined stitches.
