My review pertains to the graphic novel. I have not read the book so I am not sure how excellent is the style, description and expanded plot, but I was reasonably disappointed with graphic novel. I am honestly new to Ted Dekker books, although, I have read his Black/Red/White trilogy recently, and I thought it was one of the best books ever. I wanted to read more about the same universe and `Lost books of histories’, he made in the Circle trilogy, but b/c of lack of time, I had chose on graphic novels in order to get quickly to the last two: Lunatic and Elyon. Sorry to say, the graphic novel was not what I expected. Drawings are not fantastic (white bats look like cute monkeys and Teeleh is less than scary); colors are OK but the tale reasonably childish. I don’t want to offend young readers; it seems the book is geared toward youth but based on some reviews I thought adults could delight in persons tales as well. Maybe the full book is much better. Sorry to say, I bought first 4 books of that series in graphic novel form, so I am now stuck with lesser version of the tale.

I’m not sure what I reflect about this book. I sit here and feel that there is so much to ponder beyond what was written. The tale itself is quick paced and you must pay attention for one thing happens after another in a perfect harmony. The characters are fantastic and lovable, while the villains are very much the opposite as should be. I can tell from reading this tale that there is so much more in Ted’s mind of what is going on and I’m curious about more related books to see what more I can delve …more I’m not sure what I reflect about this book. I would clarify this book as a “simple, summer read.” The characters were very simple, not alot of depth to them but I felt the details to descriptions ie. creatures, travels, forest was above the average in this book.
