I bought this book new for school. I have sent an e-mail to Amazon stating that I did not receive the pass code for this book. I now have to pay $20.00 for this pass code (the fee I paid for the book). I am not pleased with the no response to my e-mail. At this point I would not recommended Amazon’s service to my family tree or friends.

I had to read this textbook for an Individual Communication Studies course during summer school. As this was my first comms class (from which the title has told you) my review on this textbook is limited.
PROS:
(1) The chapters are relatively fleeting in part averaging 25-30 pages each; additional textbooks I’ve had/seen have 50+ page chapters.
(2) The main attribute that exemplifies this textbook’s might is the companion website. The included URL provides… vocabulary flashcards, crossword puzzles, chapter quizzes, as well as additional additional resources.
CONS:
(1) There is an immense amount of information that I judge is too condensed/rushed together.
CONCLUSION:
With the website in mind this textbook is a fantastic tool for a first time comms student. But, bear in mind that I have only taken one comms course myself and I have no additional comms textbooks to compare it to improve this review.
