Although this took longer to deliver than expected ( and a copy was lost in transit) the seller sent me another copy via 2-day mail. It came right before Christmas as I was hoping for!

I just received this cookbook and was hoping for some new recipes. The pictures all look like mushy pasta dishes. I have many Italian cookbooks, some of fantastic NY restaurants and many Italian chefs. I was hoping this would have something new but I feel like it’s the same ancient thing in every Italian cookbook these days. The only difference is maybe one ingredient here or there but nothing really new. If it was a lot less money I’d keep it but I’m probably going to give it to my mother-in-law as a gift.

After a number of visits to Carmine’s in the theatre district where we are nervous to see a show be over to get to the restaurant, and then again in Atlantic City where the gamining tables became secondary to the what awaited us foodies, I ordered this “well written for the lay person to read” and started to do just that. After perusing the entire book, I must admit, I can feel the texture of all the ingredients and savor the taste of so many of the recipes, but they are just fantasies because I can’t bring myself to make any one of the gastrointestinal delights. It just seems that I prefer to keep the gods of Carmine’s and their mysteries just that. A wonderful collection of all my favorites, and one of these days…..

Book was in brilliant condition, quick shipping & cheapest fee on the net. What a bargain. I would buy AGAIN and will definately recommend others to this site.

fantastic cookbook although havent tried any of the recipes yet. ate here in nyc and loved it, chose to buy the cookbook to cook some of the entrees on my own. cant wait to use it!!!
