There is a printing error with this book. Both copies of the book sent to me were missing every additional page. I know this is a re-issue of an older book, but can’t judge the publishers missed such an error.

How frustrating can it get when pages (I mean 217 pages) are missing from a book. I should have known something was incorrect since the book was so tiny. Sorry to say I did not double check before I handed it over to my grandson to read. He tried to be polite but I’m glad he told me about the problem. I returned the book to amazon for full refund. No problem there. Needless to say I will double check every book in the future and refrain from ordering any from this particular publisher. Sloppy job folks!

This book is about a young british cheafton who for most of his life was held as a hostage by the Romans. He learns to Admire many of Romes laws and thoughts. But He is still a loyal Briton. And when his Briton rebells he joins them.
I reflect this is a book for everyone. You can’t place it down. One of my Favorite books.

The book is fantastic. Do not buy the edition from Amazon that I bought (take in has half a blue oval on it) because it only has half the pages. Find a different edition somewhere else!
Even with half the pages, the tale is terrifec. Amazon doesn’t seem able to police their fulfillment system. My replacement copy had the same defect, even though I requested that the shipping department check before sending it. A book with 520 pages can’t be less than an inch thick.

This publisher makes junk books. This Amazon company “BookSurge” publishing must have outsourced this to some slave labor camp. (I wish – it says “made in USA” – what have we come to as a nation). Anyway, the pages are numbered 1,2,5,6,9,10, etc. The last time I saw something like this was when I visited the USSR East Bloc countries in 1988. Amazon, where is your quality control – this is an Amazon company publisher!!!!
