Beekeeping For Dummies is an EXCELLENT guide/reference book for new beekeepers and seasoned. It covers EVERYTHING from thinking of keeping bees all the way through to recipes for things to do with your wonderful honey! The reason I titled this review “ALMOST everything you need to know” is because there are some things you just can’t learn lacking actual hands-on experience. Throughout the book, there are MANY references to where in the book you can find more information about something that was mentioned (i.e. “for more information on ‘that theme’ see page ’such-n-such’). Because of that, you can read it take in-to-take in, or open it up to any section, start reading, & not miss out on useful information. (I’m a take in-to-take in person.)
I bought the book to share with a friend, but it is such a excellent reference, that I’m getting them one, too!
