I bought this book after I saw the owners of the bakery on Martha Stewart. The photos will place you drooling! The recipes like Pumpkin Whoopie Pies are just one example of the unique creations in the book. I also bought another one to give as a gift. Highly recommended!

A perfectly executed and current book from a unique and literate bakery. The recipes are regularly updated versions of ancient favorites with wonderful photographs and commentaries. Delightful to read and a pleasure to use.

Got this from the recipient’s Amazon.com gift list, and it was an unqualified hit. She even was a small surprised, in spite of it being from her list, because she’d set her list so she couldn’t see what had been bought. She was delightfully surprised and very satisfied with it.
The recipes are in the context of a new bakery in New York by a stylish young couple, so it appeals to a twenty-something sensibility, from the recipe choices to the design of the book including layout, colors and everything.
A hugely successful gift for a mid-twenties baker who wants to hone her own skills plus see what peers are doing.
