Product Description
There are a few things Jeremy Marsh was sure he’d never do: he’d never place New York City; never give his heart away again after barely extant one failed marriage; and, most of all, never become a parent. Now, Jeremy is living in the tiny town of Boone Creek, North Carolina, married to Lexie Darnell, the like of his life, and anticipating the birth of their daughter. But just as his life seems to be settling into a blissful pattern, an unsettling and mysterious message re-opens ancient wounds and sets off a chain of events that will forever change the course of this young couple’s marriage.
Dramatic, heartbreaking and surprising, this is a tale about the like between a man and a woman and between a parent and a child. More than that, it is a tale that perfectly describes how the same emotion that can break your heart is also the one that will ultimately heal it.
While the novel picks up the tale of Lexie Darnell and Jeremy Marsh that ongoing in Right Believer and will delight fans of that novel, it stands on its own as one of Nicholas Sparks’s most deeply moving like tales.

I haven’t read many books written by Patterson but I liked The Pad so I thought I would read some of his additional publications. I didn’t find much to like about At First Sight.
The tale is really unbelievable and the characters one-dimensional. It is a boiler plate romance novel. The couple are immediately attracted to each additional but something keeps them apart. A wave of a wand and they both know they like each additional. The pleased couple then find and overcome misfortune.
Patterson is not a terrible writer. If you are looking to escape from the daily grind and want to find romance in an simple read, you won’t be disappointed. If you want a realistic tale and believeable characters, then At First Sight isn’t for you.

Well, one thing I can say about Mr. Sparks is he really knows how to manipulate his readers. I can know the positive reviews this book has already gotten. It certainly tugs at the ole heartstrings.
I establish this to be a better written book then TRUE BELIEVER, but the tale itself was just a bit too ridiculous for me. Let’s see, Jeremy and Lexie meet, fall in like, have sex and get pregnant. Then Jeremy gives up his life in New York, moves to North Carolina, develops writers block, buys a new car, buys a new house, deals with anonymous e-mails trying to break up his relationship, suspects Lexie of cheating on him, suspects their baby might not be his, finds out Lexie was pregnant once before, gets married, starts to write again, their baby gets born and then…well, lets just say that’s an dreadful lot to have take place in only nine months time.
I realize most Sparks’ fans will like this book and they should. It follows his own formula very well. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out there’s another one in the works…He’s certainly left open the possibility.

I was not at all pleased with the way this book finished. This is the first book by Sparks that I read. I have additional books by this leader, but if he ends all of his books in this manner, I am not sure I want to read the others that I do have!!

Nicholas Sparks is, like I said, slowly withering away. As many others reviewing have said, this man will write anything just so people know he’s still out there. I would much rather read something from an leader who writes one book every so regularly that is excellent, then many fleeting books every year just so we know they’re still writing.
The writing was horrible and I reflect my cat could have done better. Also, there were no surprises-I basically permanently knew what was going to take place next. Sparks is too predictable. Plus, after Jeremy recieves the first e-mail, you know who it is, it’s very obvious.
The only excellent book Sparks wrote was ‘The Guardian’, although even that is losing its touch now that I’ve read his crappier books.

This book was fantastic. I read this and the previous novel, “Right Beliver” back to back, and painstakingly loved both of the books, eventhough the ending of this one just tore me up inside. This is a fantastic Sparks novel I would urge all of his fans to delight in.
