This is an outstanding book for the new Certified Flight Instructor, walking you through each flight with a “primary” student and explaining why you should take in each event.

Truly a gem of a book — I wish I had learned it earlier! Its strengths are:
- Comprehensive, covers practically topics having to do with piloting various types of airplanes
- Clearly and succintly written
- Outstanding color illustrations for most maneuvers
What the book does not take in is talking to air traffic controllers, navigation by VOR, GPS, etc topics beyond the actual control of the aircraft.
