I did not realize this was a fleeting tale collection so I am disappointed that the material in the book is not new. It would be excellent for new fans of the Sookie series but for long time fans it could be diappointing. I will be more careful in the future before buying.

Maybe it’s my fault for not paying more attention to what exactly was being unrestricted today but I had heard that the next Sookie book was to be unrestricted 10/6 and I didn’t waste any time to order it through my Kindle book. I am very disappointed to find that it is not the next novel in the Sookie series but is a book containing fleeting tales involving Sookie. Not at all what I expected and I don’t like it at all.

Had I realized that this was just fleeting tales that filled in gaps between books and that the tales had already been published, I would not have bought this. As much as I delight in the Sookie Stackhouse series this is a poor substitute for the next book in a fantastic series.

I really was expecting a followup to book 9. I wish Charlaine Harriswish hadn’t made this book #10. This is just missing tales or maybe editor rejected chapters from previous Sookie Stackhouse books. Man! I read this book in four hours. Don’t look to clasp your fingers at every page. The tales are pretty light. I guess Charlaine Harris needed a go between book to make her publisher pleased. Sorry to say, she wasn’t thinking about her fans.

I wanted to have known this was not a continuation of the series BEFORE purchasing it! I feel cheated! The tales weren’t even that appealing to me. I called a friend that also ordered the book and told them what it was from the intro and they were disappointed as well. They questioned me to read it and let them know whether to even open theirs. I called this morning and said, “NO!” She then returned hers when I clarified a small more about it and I told her she could have mine just to see what it said because I don’t even want it. I talked to another friend that questioned about it and told her what the book was about and she said she wouldn’t even waste her time reading it!
I feel I was cheated out of waiting all this time for the continuation of the series and this is what I got!! Now they say May 2010 for the continuation!? That was a dirty trick as far as I’m concerned! I saw nothing before hand that warned this was not a continuation of the series.
