Product Description
The latest from New York Times bestselling leader, Angie Fox:
Last month, I was a single preschool teacher whose greatest thrill consisted of color-coding my lesson plans. That was before I learned I was a slayer. Now, it’s up to me to face curse-hurling imps, rancorous demons, and any additional supernatural uglies that crop up. And, to top it off, a hunk of a shape-shifting griffin has invited me to Greece to meet his family tree.
But it’s not all sun, sand, and ouzo. A name has made a dark-magic version of me with my powers and my knowledge–and it wants to kill me and everyone I know. Of course, this evil twin doesn’t have Grandma’s gang of biker witches, a talking Jack Russell terrier, or an eccentric necromancer on its side. In the essential showdown for survival, may the best demon slayer win.

I bought this book new… so what’s so fantastic about that … I own a used bookstore but I couldn’t wait to read book 3. In fact, I have bought all of Angie Fox’s books new several times for family tree and friends.
I not goin’ into tale line, I’m just goin’ to clarify why I gave books 1 and 2 5 stars and this “standard romance read” a 2.
The first two books were a “coming of age” type book. Normal girl with a dull life that she likes ends up a demon-slayer with witchy biker Granny (with potion building biker coven), talking dog, and, of course, a handsome nearly super hero like interest or two. I painstakingly loved the development of her relationship with Grandma, her haphazard education in the art of killing grave critters, and all-purpose gungoness.
So book 3. It took place in Greece at the home of Dimitri and his twin sisters who Lizzie saved from death by killing a demon … (problem #1) I did not count how many times this was mentioned but lots and lots seems to work.
(problem #2) It was a “standard romance relationship” tale line… so Amara has to be really in like with Dimitri from childhood. He can not see the jealousy. Amara makes no bones on how much she despises Lizzie to Lizzie’s face.
(problem #3) Dull … read to page 134 and then skipped nearly 60 pages to read the final fight… which was messy and dull.
(problem #4) Everyone speaks perfect English and Lizzie is able to walk into the family tree generation ancient library and read the titles. Maybe Lizzie got a translation spell that I missed … but I’m not goin’ to read persons 60 pages to find out. Language about reading.. she reads Amara’s mother’s journal … again written in perfect English…
(problem #5) the stupid cat. Amara or her brother brought a cat to live in Dimitri’s home and after they are both dead… the cat remains in the house… after all persons generations of treachery … a normal person wouldn’t place a possible agent in the house.
So with all my … and ,,,’s I give this book 2 stars and hope Ms Fox reads her reviews…. because I really did delight in her first two books

For the first thirty years of Lizzie Brown’s life, everything was normal. She had worked at Pleased Hands Preschool for seven years, interacting with her preschoolers. Then two months ago, her grandmother establish her and Lizzie learned she has the powers to ruin demons. But, when it comes to ability, she is not reasonably as excellent as required, at least not yet. But, she is doing her best. Coordinating fire drills, potty breaks and meadow trips for three-year-olds did not prepare her for bloodthirsty, curse-hurling imps and unforgiving demons. Since she learned her powers, Lizzie has been busy; saving Dimitri’s sisters and then preventing Armageddon on the Las Vegas Strip. Lizzie’s grandma also has magical powers and she leads a gang of bikers called the Red Skull biker witches, with names such as Ant Eater, Grandma’s second-in-mandate. In fact, Lizzie’s back up consists of her grandma, her feisty Jack Russell terrier Pirate, who started language when Lizzie came into her powers, and Lizzie’s shape shifting, griffin boyfriend Dimitri.
Dimitri has two sisters, Diana and Dyonne, who had lived their whole lives under a demon’s curse. According to the curse, they will fall into a coma the day they turn twenty-eight and twenty-eight days later, they will die. But, they are past that age now, as Dimitri, with Lizzie’s help, managed to break the curse. He likes Lizzie and is determined to protect her. In fact, his greatest dread is that something will take place to her.
Dimitri is taking Lizzie to Greece to meet his family tree. Since his business kept him from taking her to the airport, her grandma took her there. Just before Lizzie got on the plane, her grandma gave her a tiny wooden box, telling Lizzie that she thought she was ready for it now. To be sure, grandma gave her a test; Lizzie had to open the box, which had no openings. Lizzie knew how to open the box; she was just reluctant, not knowing what was inside. When she opened it, she establish an invisible bar, which foretold Lizzie’s death. But, her grandma told her that free will permanently overrides anything so she can keep the vision from coming right. Grandma had an additional bit of information for her. As a replacement for of the relaxing trip she had foreseen, her grandma has establish her an instructor in Greece.
On the plane Dimitri had a confession to make to her. When he was looking for a demon slayer to help his sisters, he used ancient griffin magic and he used a trace of her power to find the rest of her. He had used a form of protective magic for his own purposes and, as he clarified, when protective magic is used to expose rather than to guard, it makes the theme very vulnerable. Though he kept the thread well protected in a light box in his study, a name broke into his office the previous night. Upon their arrival home, after battling imps, they learned that the thread was missing and the possibilities for destruction were infinite. It could even be used to manipulate Lizzie and could be treacherous in the incorrect hands, but it seems that no one has used it yet or Lizzie would know. When it does take place, will she be prepared to come face-to-face with herself? Will it be used to fulfill Lizzie’s death vision?
A TALE OF TWO DEMON SLAYERS, the third book in Angie Fox’s DEMON SLAYER series, is a delightfully witty paranormal romance. The interaction with Pirate and his new pet were hilarious and very imaginative. Filled with adventure, bizarre humor, intrigue, imagination, an original plot, romance, surprising plot twists and unbelievable characters, this book is unforgettable. The outrageous secondary characters add fantastic appeal to the tale. If you delight in this tale, you are sure to delight in the first two books in this series, THE ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYER and THE DANGEROUS BOOK FOR DEMON SLAYERS. As I keenly await the next book in this series, be sure to grab your own copy of A TALE OF TWO DEMON SLAYERS.
