I belong to a tiny group that meets weekly for prayer and discussion, to help us grow in our Christian faith, action and study. This book was suggested by one of our members, and we’ve just ongoing it. It seems to be a book that will help us integrate what goes on in our outward and our inward lives, so that we can become more wholly the person we are meant to be.
I can’t really rate this book until we have finished it, which is why I only gave it 3 stars.

This book was like taking my soul to the most relaxing, wholesome spa imaginable.
I like anything that spins counter-culture and this book is it! Parker Palmer shares in his DVD (Circle of Trust, it comes with the book) how participants get in touch with their inner truth.
He gives you the skills to renovate your own circle of trust, cautioning that it takes tremendous dedication to hold a safe space. You’ve got to be vigilant in remembering that each person is his or her own power. They’re the ones with their answers – you have to listen it out of them. Parker also compares questions laced with advice to truly open, curious questions. A question like, `Have you thought about going to therapy?’ has a built-in answer and isn’t empowering to the soul at all.
A Hidden Wholeness is broken down in 4 parts: 1) Being right to yourself 2) The meaning of community 3) Transformational learning and 4) Nonviolent social change.
If you want to bring more of your soul into the role you play in life, this book will be a guiding light on your path.

What a fantastic and simple read to start the process which I judge we as humans are all seeking for – in our eternal quest of being whole people. I have seen incredible results in practicing what is outlined in the book. Getting in touch with ourselves is of greatest value in this work.

If you lost your soul trying to live life fitting the cultural norms, this book will help you find your soul and live life right to yourself, not to others. This book helped heal the wounds that were self-inflicted and buried deep inside of my soul. The leader speaks from his own experiences, and I could tell to every word in this book. I am a devout Christian and establish this book mentally healing as well. Our journey in life is mysterious and entirely inexplicable to me but our soul knows our path and guides us through pains when things fall apart despite all of our intentions to make it perfect.
