I like this cookbook! my fiance is from Mexico and i have been searching for a way to make food for him that is close to what he used to eat. He was so surprised when i cooked homeade tortillas with carnitas. He loved it! and it was super simple. this book is very simple to read and know and it makes the cooking fun. The only thing i wish it had was an explanation of where to find some of the ingredients. I highly reccomend this cookbook!

We like Mad Coyote Joe’s Chicken Tacos! The sauce, Mad Coyote Joe suggests, is so excellent, but it does not have a long staying power. Last time I made only half a batch for a double batch of chicken tacos. This recipe book is very excellent!

Mad Coyote Joe’s way with Mexican cooking comes from his like of the culture and people south of the border. The pictures give you a fantastic measuring stick when you try the recipes themselves and you can tell that his affection for the food is genuine. Buy the book, test out the recipes and then buy it for your friends. Like his first book “The Sonoran Grill” this one will be on your bookshelf and in your kitchen for a lifetime.
