The tale is wonderful…Geraldine James is wonderful. I ran into distress on the 6th CD. The last half of the tracks on that disc both jump and skip. I ordered another copy. This from MarketPlace thinking to replace that disk (#6) and tho I ordered the Book as a groundbreaking new item…disc #6 still jumps and skips at the end. Just so you will be prepared.

I have not yet reviewed this book . . . but I absolutely LOVE the Outlander Series. We trip to Scotland next week – can not wait!!! Also, find it appealing that another Wauwatosa, WI resident likes this series/leader . . .have read everything else by Gabaldon . . . .can not wait for this latest book to arrive

After waiting 2 years for this book, yes I wanted it to last, and last. And while it may have seemed reasonably alot of everyday goings on, I have waited forever to find out what Jamie and Clare were up to. I listened to The Fiery Cross on audio and had ever intention of doing the same with this book except it wasn’t available in my area on relief day so I read the book. But after 900 + pages I still wanted to hear the gaelic and voices of the characters that had come to light with the Fiery Cross. Sorry to say only the abridged version was available and thinking well they’ll probably place out a few he said, she saids I bought and listened to the thing. Only to find out they’d left out half of the bloody book! So if your daunted by the 900 + pages or aren’t really Jamie and Clare fans listen to the abrided audio.

I have been a follower of The Outlander books since the first book was published. This book was wonderfull. Diana make her characters come to life!
