The recipes in this book feature step-by-step instructions that eliminate all the guesswork. From cleaning to sterilization, every technique and process is clarified clearly so that even a novice can make artisanal-quality cheeses. The book describes all cheese types and families, ripening and aging techniques and the kinds of milk and additional components needed. The recipes feature:
Recipes for yogurts, kefirs, butters and buttermilk, as well as recipes that feature the homemade cheeses, round out the collection.

I like this book ALMOST as much as I like building cheese. But, it took me a while to receive it. This somehow added to the anticipation and I was thinking of going to my physician to get Xanax to help with the anxiety. It didn’t take longer than what the maximum time frame was, so it was “all excellent.” This book is way better than the book than Ricki “the cheese queen” puts out, and I don’t really even trust the people at the New England Cheesemaking Company. I feel that if your looking at this book and this review then you’re probably new to the cheese building leisure activity. If so, please give me a shout with any questions [...]. I also do many additional fermented products, so if it deals with fermentation or a bacteria (culture) I’ve probably had the same answer and establish it. Welcome to the wonderful world of fermentables.
