Product Description
Why do we overeat time and time again? Why do we make poor diet choices while we want to be healthy? What makes losing weight so hard? These and many additional vital questions are addressed in 12 Steps to Raw Foods in an open and sincere dialogue. Based on the latest scientific research, Victoria Boutenko clarifies the copious benefits of choosing a diet of fresh rather than cooked foods. This book contains self-tests and questionnaires that help the reader to determine if they have hidden eating patterns that undermine their health. Using examples from life, the leader explores the most common reasons for people to make unhealthy eating choices.
Rather than simply praising the benefits of raw foods, this book offers helpful tips and coping techniques to form and maintain new, healthy patterns. Learn how to make a raw food restaurant card that makes dining with co-workers simple and enjoyable. Learn three magic sentences that enable you to refuse your mother-in-law’s apple pie lacking offending her. Find out how to sustain your chosen diet while traveling. These are only a few of the many scenarios that Boutenko outlines.
Written in a convenient 12-step format, this book guides the reader through the most significant physical, psychological, and spiritual phases of the transition from cooked to raw foods. Embracing the raw food lifestyle is more than simply turning off the oven. Such a radical change in the way we eat affects all aspects of life. Boutenko touches on the human relationship with scenery, the value of supporting others, and the importance of living in harmony with people who don’t share the same point of view on eating. Already a classic, this enhanced second edition is aimed at anyone interested in improving their health through diet.

I have a deep like and respect for books, so when I tell you that this is the only book I have ever burned (!) then you will get my meaning on how useless this book is. This book is filled with crack thoughts, out-there concepts, and is really reasonably useless. There is no reason why anyone would need this book to “end their dependency on cooked foods” I personally reflect this person is a whack job, and a total fraud. I bought the book for the recipies in the back, but soon establish that most of them can be establish on the internet, and if anyone unfamilar with raw foods looking at this book might reflect that all we eat is cookies, raw deserts, and pate. This book is hugely misleading, and a perfect waste of time and money. Even the concept behind the book is reasonably pointless. Dont waste your time or money. There are allot of additional people in the raw food movement that have written much better books, with beter recpies and have not been a rip off like this book. Really, this leader has one excellent book. Its called green for life. That is a book to own and read. This one but, looks to me like a money-building scheme, whose pages I didnt even bother to keep in my library.

Wonderful and treacherous book for who is going to raw food diet.
Wonderful because has excellent tips to go raw and stay raw…
Treacherous because now we know how terrible is a high stout diet, even a raw one.
This book is excellent just if the person reads the 80/10/10 diet from Dr. Douglas Graham. This is the way to go raw lacking mess out with your health…

There are some very helpful thoughts in the book. She looks at a broad picture. But, I am a bit overwhelmed by her personal experience. She is much stronger than I.
