Product Description
Bestselling leader and lecturer Wayne W. Dyer has written a thought-provoking book for persons of us who have chosen to consciously be on our life path. The ten “secrets” for success and inner peace open here apply whether you’re just embarking on your path, are nearing the end of it, or are on the path in any way. Dr. Dyer urges you to read these ten secrets with an open heart. By doing so, you’ll learn to feel the peace of God that truly defines success.
Dr. Dyer shares his view that we’re living in an age of spiritual deficiency. We have more than enough information in our society—it’s spirituality that’s missing.
First and foremost, mentally advanced people must have a “burning desire” to become as mentally fulfilled as possible—even if they’re seen as running against the pack, or, as his spiritual mentor, Henry David Thoreau said, “marching to the beat of their own drummer.”
Dr. Dyer’s ten principles include:
•Being open to everything and attached to nothing.
•Understanding that there are no justified resentments in life.
•Embracing silence, since meditation is the only way to truly come to know your Source.
•Knowing that you can’t solve a problem with the same mind that made it.
•Treating yourself as if you already are what you’d like to become.

Wayne Dyer has made a living off hard the socio-spiritual wind and writing to “catch the breeze” that is blowing. Spirituality is again a honest topic for discussion (after going underground in the 80’s and 90’s), so Dr. Dyer jumps in with the same self-centered stuff (see “Looking out for Number One”) he’s been writing all along, now in the guise of spirituality and the quest for inner peace. There are better books on the topic (search “Inner Peace” at christianbook.com), books which will get you to the root of what it takes to have lasting inner peace.
Wayne’s book is shallow, trite, misguided, and ultimately unhelpful. It might make you feel better, but it does not stand up to the intellectual scrutiny a world view demands. Inner peace is of no value if it is not essential, and not based on rock-levelheaded truths, it cannot be of essential value. If you want to feel better, pick up a copy. If you want to be better, live better, make better choices, etc., dust off your copy of the New Tribute and revisit the words of Jesus in the gospel of Matthew or John. Be strong-minded. Be discerning. Let this book go.

As usual Mr. Dyer takes something simple and makes it complex. He has a right to his viewpoint for sure, but let’s base it on something substantial. Waynes problem is that he is unable to distinguish the difference between truth and his prolific imagination. His next book will be called “Lost in Translation”

Dr. Dyer has produced a work here that is simple to read and facilitates an over-all excellent mood. While I don’t personally share all of his beliefs, I can compliment the book and recommend it.

ladies and gentlemen,
in this book, wayne just gives you pointers to the holy places that are already in your heart. God gives us the keys; not wayne.
read the book if your ready to take a joyful and painful walk into your own consecration and dread. read the book even if your just thinking about what life would be like if you might be pleased someday. just read the book, it couldn’t hurt.
and wayne, i thought about giving the book only 1 star because i knew you wouldn’t care.
be well all.

Well, after 4 or 5 wives who were pretty much ‘enslaved’ by Wayne Dyer, I know the ’spin’ he expounds for the $$$,$$$… SOOOOO sad that he twists the truths of the universe (whatever persons are) to his slimey advantage. Better to return to simple truths (like the Dalai Lama, Thich Nan, etc) as a replacement for of promoting this shyster. His wives could tell you he’s a pr*ck. Sorry if this is dissolusing, but as most ‘gurus’ are fake…
